Co-founder & CVO/CTO MAKO Surgical Corp., the world leader in human-interactive robotics for orthopedic surgery. NASDAQ:MAKO. Recently acquired by Stryker Corp.

Developed, licensed, and acquired over 300 patents worldwide in the field of computer-assisted neurological and orthopedic surgery, medical robotics, and intelligent surgical instrumentation. Led MAKO's product development and technology teams, including the creation and launch of the RIO system and implants. Many world's firsts in terms of use of robotics in a surgical setting, particularly with the use of haptic robotics.

Co-founder & Chief Technology Officer of z-kat, inc., an early technology leader in the field of computer-assisted minimally-invasive surgery. The robotics unit was spun-off and became MAKO Surgical Corp. Part of the technology suite was acquired by Biomet, Inc.
